Tax Accountants London

Tax Accountants for London

London tax advice that actually makes sense.

Most London businesses pay more tax than they need to, not because the rules are complicated, but because no one has sat down with them and explained what applies to their situation. Supreme Consulting works with owner-managed companies, sole traders, and contractors across London on a fixed-fee basis, with responses within one working day.

  • Know your corporation tax liability well before the deadline arrives
  • Self assessment filed accurately, with allowable expenses properly claimed
  • VAT threshold monitored so there are no unexpected registration obligations
  • Tax planning advice grounded in your actual numbers, not generic guidance

No long-term contract required. If it is not working after three months, you leave with your books in order and nothing owed.

Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your tax bill will be?

A lot of London business owners end up dealing with tax reactively — finding out what they owe when HMRC sends the calculation, rather than months in advance when something could still be done about it. The compliance gets filed eventually, but the planning rarely happens. That tends to be expensive over time.

  • ✕ Tax bill arrives as a surprise, with no time to prepare for it
  • ✕ Self assessment filed late or left to the last few days of January
  • ✕ Corporation tax, VAT, and payroll managed across different providers with no joined-up view

What on top of things looks like

Your tax position is visible throughout the year, not just at filing time. Deadlines are handled before they become urgent, and the advice you receive is specific to your business rather than lifted from a general guide.

  • ✓ Tax liability calculated and communicated months before it falls due
  • ✓ Self assessment prepared and submitted with time to review before submitting
  • ✓ All compliance — corporation tax, VAT, payroll — managed in one place with a single point of contact
  • ✓ Fixed monthly fee, agreed upfront, with no unexpected charges added later

What you get

Tax and compliance, handled properly

Services are scoped to what your business actually needs. Core compliance is the foundation; advisory work sits alongside it for those who want more than just a filed return.

01

Corporation Tax and Self Assessment

Your CT600 is prepared from your accounts, reviewed with you before submission, and filed on time. For directors, your personal self assessment is handled alongside it — income, dividends, and any other sources covered without you needing to coordinate two separate accountants.

Included as standard
02

VAT Returns and MTD Compliance

Quarterly VAT returns prepared and submitted under Making Tax Digital requirements. Your turnover is monitored against the registration threshold, so you are not caught out by crossing it unnoticed. Voluntary registration, deregistration, and scheme changes are advised on as the numbers warrant it.

Ongoing compliance
03

Tax Planning and Advisory

Whether the question is around salary and dividend structure, capital gains on a disposal, IR35 status, or extracting value from the business efficiently — the advice is grounded in your specific numbers rather than a generic framework. Planning conversations happen throughout the year, not in the week before your year-end.

Why Supreme Consulting

What makes the difference in practice

There are plenty of accountants serving London businesses. The differences that matter tend to show up in how advice is delivered and how reliably the work gets done.

📅

Over Twenty Years of Practice

Founded in 2005, Supreme Consulting has worked with small businesses, contractors, and property investors through multiple changes to UK tax legislation. That history means fewer surprises and a clearer sense of what actually matters for businesses of your size. Advice is grounded in experience rather than theory.

💷

Fixed Fees, Agreed Before We Start

Every engagement is priced on a fixed-fee basis before any work begins. You know what the year-end accounts cost, what the CT600 costs, and what any advisory work costs — without having to worry about time recording or unexpected additions. If the scope changes, the price is discussed before it changes.

☁️

Real-Time Visibility Through Cloud Tools

Supreme Consulting works with Xero and QuickBooks Online, which means your financial position is available to both of us at any point in the year rather than only at year-end. Questions get answered faster, tax positions are visible earlier, and the annual accounts involve far less reconstruction of what happened twelve months ago.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

The process is designed to be low-effort on your part. Most clients are fully onboarded within a couple of weeks of first contact.

1

A No-Obligation Discovery Call

We start with a conversation about your business, your current setup, and what you actually need from an accountant. No sales process, no commitment required. You will leave the call knowing whether we are a good fit and what the next step looks like.

2

A Clear, Fixed-Fee Proposal

Following the call, you receive a written proposal covering exactly what is included, what it costs, and when things happen. No scope creep, no ambiguity. If anything needs adjusting before you sign, we discuss it.

3

Onboarding and Cloud Setup

We handle the transition from your previous accountant, migrate your records to the cloud accounting platform, and ensure everything is in order before the first deadline arrives. You do not need to coordinate with your old accountant directly if you would rather not.

4

Ongoing and Proactive From Here

Regular check-ins, early warnings on anything time-sensitive, and responses to questions within one working day. Your tax position is visible throughout the year, compliance is handled before it becomes urgent, and you are not thinking about your accounts until we contact you.

Questions

Things London clients usually ask first

Do you work with London-based businesses remotely, or do I need to come to Hampshire?+

Everything is handled remotely. Supreme Consulting operates on a cloud-first basis, which means all records, documents, and communications are managed online. London clients work with us in exactly the same way as local Hampshire clients — no in-person meetings required unless you specifically want one.

What does it actually cost, and what is included in the fee?+

Pricing is fixed and agreed before any work begins. The fee depends on your business structure, turnover, and which services you need. A sole trader requiring only a self assessment return sits at a different price point from a limited company needing year-end accounts, CT600, payroll, and VAT. We provide a written quote after the initial call so you know exactly what you are paying before committing.

My books are a bit behind. Is that a problem for switching?+

It is fairly common. Most clients do not arrive with perfectly tidy records, and catch-up bookkeeping is something we handle as part of the onboarding process. If there is a significant amount of work required to bring the records current, that will be scoped separately and priced before we start. There are no surprises added after the fact.

Is there a minimum contract period or lock-in?+

No minimum term. Monthly retainer clients can give one month’s notice at any time. If it turns out the arrangement is not working after a few months, you leave with your records in order and transferred across cleanly. We would rather earn your continued business through the quality of the work than hold you to a contract.

Can you handle IR35 assessments for London contractors?+

Yes. IR35 status reviews are something we cover for contractors operating through limited companies, including those working with London-based end clients. We look at the actual working arrangements rather than relying on a generic tool, and we provide a written assessment you can show to an engager or umbrella company if needed.

How far in advance will I know what my tax bill is going to be?+

For corporation tax, you should know your liability well before the nine-month payment deadline — typically when the management accounts for the final quarter are available. For self assessment, the calculation is completed and reviewed with you before submission, so the figure is not a surprise when it lands on your HMRC account.
