You receive a written proposal covering the scope of services, what is included, and the monthly fee. No estimates, no hourly rates. If the scope changes, we talk about it before anything changes on the invoice.
We handle the setup
Access to your Xero file, migration of any existing records, bank feed connections, and opening balance confirmation. We deal with your previous accountant if there is one. Your job during this phase is to approve the proposal and share access.
Ongoing, with nothing to chase

Things people usually ask before starting
Do you actually set up Xero properly, or just connect it to the filing?
Setup means building a chart of accounts that reflects how your business works, configuring bank rules, connecting payment platforms if relevant, and checking that opening balances reconcile. Most files we inherit have at least one of those things wrong. We fix them before they create problems further down.
What does a typical Xero bookkeeping package cost?
Pricing is fixed and based on the volume of transactions, the services included, and your business type. A sole trader with straightforward income and expenses will pay considerably less than a limited company with payroll, VAT, and management accounts. Every engagement starts with a written proposal so you know the number before committing.
My Xero file is a mess. Will you take it on as it is?
Yes. Inherited files in various states of disarray are routine. We will assess the extent of the catch-up work, price it separately and transparently, and give you a clean file before the ongoing monthly service begins. There is no obligation to have had things in order before approaching us.
Am I locked in to a long contract?
No. There is no minimum term beyond the initial onboarding period. If the arrangement is not working for you, you give us notice and we hand everything back in good order. Your records, your Xero file, your data.
Can you connect Xero to our other software, such as Stripe, Shopify, or payroll tools?
Yes. Xero has a wide range of integrations and we set them up as part of onboarding where they are relevant. Stripe, Shopify, PayPal, and most payroll platforms connect directly. If you use something less common, we check compatibility before recommending it.
Will I be able to see my tax position during the year, not just at year-end?
With Xero kept current, your corporation tax liability is visible on a running basis throughout the year. We flag it in quarterly reviews so there are no surprises when the CT600 is due. Knowing what is coming several months in advance gives you time to plan rather than scramble.
