Sound familiar?

Not entirely sure where your accounts stand right now?

Most small business owners reach out when something has slipped — a VAT deadline approaching, books several months behind, or a self assessment return sitting unstarted in January. The longer it sits, the more it compounds. Catch-up work costs more than staying current, and the uncertainty about what you owe tends to be worse than the actual number.

  • Your bookkeeping is behind and you are not confident in the figures you have
  • You get a tax bill and it is never quite what you were expecting it to be
  • Your current accountant is slow to respond and hard to get a straight answer from

What sorted looks like

When your accounts are current and your accountant is switched on, the picture changes considerably. You know roughly what you owe before HMRC tells you. You are not hunting for documents in the week before a deadline. And when something comes up, you have someone to call who will give you a direct answer.

  • Books kept current so your numbers reflect what is actually happening in the business
  • Tax position calculated well ahead of the deadline, with no last-minute surprises
  • VAT returns filed accurately each quarter, with your threshold monitored as you grow
  • Questions answered the same day, by someone who knows your business

What we cover

The services included in your package

Most clients come to us for compliance first — accounts, VAT, tax. From there, the scope grows as the business does.

01

Books kept in order

Monthly bookkeeping using Xero or QuickBooks Online, so your figures are current and your VAT reconciled before the quarter closes. Cloud-based means you can see the position whenever you need to, and we can flag anything unusual as it appears.

Monthly, fixed fee
02

VAT and payroll handled

Quarterly VAT returns prepared and submitted under Making Tax Digital. Full PAYE and payroll bureau service including RTI submissions, CIS payroll for subcontractors, and pension auto-enrolment support. Deadlines are tracked — you will not be chasing us.

Quarterly, fixed fee
03

Accounts and tax filed

Year-end statutory accounts, corporation tax return (CT600), and self assessment for directors and sole traders. We prepare everything, explain the figures, and file once you are happy. Your tax liability is calculated before HMRC needs to tell you what you owe.

Annual, fixed fee

Why clients choose us

What makes working with us different

There are plenty of accountancy firms to choose from. These are the things clients tend to mention when they explain why they came to us.

📅

Over 20 years of practice

Founded in 2005, Supreme Consulting has been working with small businesses, contractors, and property investors for over two decades. That experience means fewer surprises for you — most situations we encounter are ones we have dealt with before, and we can tell you plainly what to expect.

💷

Fixed fees, quoted upfront

Every engagement starts with a clear, written proposal showing exactly what is included and what it costs. No hourly rates, no unexpected invoices at year-end. If the scope changes, we discuss it before the work starts.

💬

Answers the day you ask

We commit to a one working day response on all client queries. If you have a question about your VAT position, a letter from HMRC, or whether a purchase is deductible, you will have a clear answer before the day is out — not a holding message.

Getting started

How it works

Moving to a new accountant is less disruptive than most people expect. Here is the process from first contact to ongoing work.

01

Start with a conversation

Book a free, no-obligation discovery call. We will ask about your business, your current setup, and what you need. No sales pitch — just a straightforward conversation to see whether we are a good fit.

02

Receive a clear proposal

Following the call, you will receive a fixed-fee proposal covering the services agreed, what is included, and the monthly or annual cost. Everything is itemised so you know exactly what you are getting.

03

We handle the transition

We contact your previous accountant, gather the records we need, and migrate everything to the cloud. Most clients find the switch takes less effort on their part than they anticipated.

04

Ongoing, proactive support

Regular check-ins, deadlines tracked and filed on time, and a responsive line of contact when questions come up. Your compliance runs in the background while you get on with running the business.

Common questions

Things people usually ask us first

Fees are fixed and based on the scope of work agreed upfront — typically the services covered, the size of your business, and how much bookkeeping is involved. You will receive an itemised proposal before anything starts. There are no hourly rates and no end-of-year surprises. If your needs change, we discuss pricing before taking on additional work.
It is more common than you might think. We offer catch-up and clean-up bookkeeping as part of onboarding, so arriving with records in arrears is not a blocker. We will assess what needs doing, quote for it separately, and work through it in a structured way. Most clients are current within a few weeks of starting with us.
We work primarily with Xero and QuickBooks Online, and we find cloud-based bookkeeping makes the ongoing relationship considerably more efficient for both sides. If you are on desktop or spreadsheet-based records, we will migrate you across as part of onboarding. If you are already on a cloud platform, we work with what you have where possible.
There is no long-term contract. Engagements run on a monthly basis and you can give notice at any time. If something is not working — responsiveness, scope, fit — we would rather you told us so we can address it. If you decide to move on, we make the handover to your next accountant straightforward.
