Sound familiar?

Still finding out your tax bill at the last minute?

A lot of limited company directors in Boldre and the surrounding area are running their businesses competently but flying blind on the numbers. The year-end arrives and the tax bill is a guess until the accountant files. Compliance gets done, but there is rarely a conversation about what could have been done differently. That is a reasonable description of what most small company owners put up with.

  • ✕ Tax bill unknown until months after the year has already ended
  • ✕ Director’s self assessment left until January, filed in a rush
  • ✕ No clear picture of profitability or how much is safe to draw

What sorted looks like

With the compliance handled and the numbers current, you know where you stand throughout the year. There are no surprises at year-end and no frantic scramble before the 31 January deadline.

  • ✓ Corporation tax calculated and communicated well before the filing date
  • ✓ Director’s return prepared and submitted with time to plan, not panic
  • ✓ Regular visibility on profit, drawings, and what is owed to HMRC

Your personal tax return covers dividend income, salary, and any other sources, prepared and filed well before January. If you run a payroll through the company, RTI submissions and payslips are handled each period without you needing to think about it.

Why Supreme Consulting

What makes the difference in practice

Any accountant can file your accounts. The question is whether they are actually useful between filing dates.

📅

Over 20 years of practical experience

Supreme Consulting has been working with owner-managed limited companies since 2005. That is two decades of corporation tax returns, director remuneration planning, and Companies House filings across a wide range of sectors and business sizes. The advice you get is grounded in what has actually worked, not what looks neat in theory.

☁️

Real-time visibility through cloud accounting

Xero and QuickBooks Online give you a current picture of your finances at any point in the year, not just at year-end. Setup, migration, and ongoing maintenance are all included, so you are not expected to figure out the software yourself.

💷

Fixed fees, scoped in writing

You receive a clear proposal before anything starts, listing exactly what is covered and what it costs each month. No hourly billing, no vague retainers, no calls that quietly turn into invoices. If the scope changes, you are told before the price does.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

Switching accountants or starting from scratch takes less effort than most people expect. Here is what the process looks like from your side.

1

A short discovery call

A no-obligation conversation, usually 20 to 30 minutes, covering your business, your current setup, and what you actually need from an accountant. You will leave the call knowing exactly what happens next.

2

A clear, fixed proposal

You receive a written proposal setting out the services, the monthly fee, and the timeline. Nothing is ambiguous. If you have questions about what is or is not included, ask and you will get a straight answer.

3

We handle the transition

If you are moving from another accountant, we manage the professional clearance and records transfer. If your books need catching up, that is scoped and costed separately from the outset. You do not need to do much at this stage.

4

Your accounts run themselves

Once onboarding is complete, compliance deadlines are tracked, returns are filed, and you receive proactive updates rather than chasing for news. The parts of running a limited company that used to take up your time largely stop doing so.

Questions

Things people usually ask before getting started

Do you understand the specifics of running an owner-managed limited company, including director remuneration and dividend planning?+

Yes. The majority of Supreme Consulting’s clients are owner-managed limited companies, so director salary and dividend structuring, IR35 considerations, and company versus personal tax planning are day-to-day work. You will not need to explain the basics of how your company is structured before getting a useful answer.

What does a limited company accounting package cost, and what is included?+

Pricing is fixed and scoped to your business size and the services you need. A core limited company package covers year-end accounts, corporation tax return (CT600), and confirmation statement. Bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and advisory services are priced as add-ons and listed clearly in your proposal. There are no hourly rates and no bills for conversations.

My books are behind and I have not filed on time before. Can you still help?+

This is not unusual. A catch-up is scoped and priced separately before any work starts, so you know what it will cost to get everything current. Once the backlog is cleared, you move onto a standard monthly retainer. Switching from another accountant is straightforward — professional clearance and records transfer are handled as part of onboarding.

Is there a long-term contract?+

No. Supreme Consulting works on a rolling monthly basis. If the arrangement is not working after the initial period, you can leave and you will receive your records in good order. The goal is to be worth staying with, not to make leaving difficult.

Can you help with tax planning beyond basic compliance, such as reducing my corporation tax bill legally?+

Yes. Tax planning for limited companies covers areas including director remuneration structure, pension contributions, allowable expense reviews, capital allowances, and timing of income and expenditure. These conversations happen throughout the year, not just at year-end when most of the options have already closed.

How far in advance will I know my corporation tax liability?+

In most cases, you will have a reliable estimate of your corporation tax liability before the financial year closes, based on management accounts and bookkeeping that is kept current. The aim is that the figure on the CT600 confirms what you already expected, rather than arriving as news.
