A confirmation statement is an annual filing that every UK limited company must submit to Companies House. It confirms that the information held on the public register — officers, registered office, share structure, SIC codes, and persons of significant control — is accurate as of a specific review date. It replaced the old annual return in 2016. Filing it is not complicated, but the deadline must be met: Companies House has 14 days from the review date, and a company that fails to file can be struck off the register.
What does it cost and what is included in the fee?
Confirmation statement filing is priced on a fixed-fee basis, confirmed in writing before any work begins. The fee covers preparation of the filing, a review of your current registered information, submission to Companies House, and confirmation of acceptance.
