Sound familiar?

Not entirely sure when your confirmation statement is due?

Most directors of small limited companies know the confirmation statement exists. Fewer know exactly when it needs filing, what needs to be checked before submission, or what happens if the deadline passes. Companies House will strike off a company that fails to file. The process itself is not complicated — it is the kind of thing that gets overlooked precisely because it seems routine.

  • Deadline crept up because no one was tracking the anniversary date
  • Uncertainty about what to confirm — SIC codes, PSC register, share structure
  • Filed it yourself last year and not entirely confident it was done correctly

What handled looks like

The confirmation statement is monitored, prepared, and filed on your behalf. You confirm what has changed, we do the rest. Your Companies House record stays current and your company stays on the register.

  • Deadline tracked and filing completed before Companies House sends reminders
  • SIC codes, registered office, officers, and PSC details reviewed before every submission
  • Previous filings reviewed on onboarding — any discrepancies identified and corrected
  • Fixed fee per filing, confirmed in writing before we start

Register Review and Updates

Before filing, your officer details, registered office address, SIC codes, and person of significant control (PSC) register are reviewed for accuracy. Any changes made during the year — new directors, amended share capital, address updates — are reflected correctly in the submission.

💷

Fixed fee, confirmed upfront

The cost of your confirmation statement filing is agreed before we start. No hourly rates, no variable charges depending on how much checking is involved. You know what you are paying before any work begins.

🏢

Company secretarial without the fuss

Confirmation statements sit alongside year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, and registered office services at Supreme Consulting. Everything your limited company needs to stay compliant is handled in one place, by someone who already knows your company’s history.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

Getting your confirmation statement under control takes a single conversation. Everything after that is handled.

1

A brief discovery call

We start with a short, no-obligation conversation about your company — when it was incorporated, what has changed since your last filing, and whether there is anything outstanding. It usually takes under 20 minutes.

2

A fixed-fee proposal sent to you

You receive a clear written proposal covering the scope of the service and the annual fee. No ambiguity about what is included and what is not. Nothing begins until you have agreed the terms.

3

We review and file

Your company records are reviewed, any updates are confirmed with you, and the confirmation statement is submitted to Companies House. You do not need to log into any systems or navigate the Companies House portal yourself.

4

Filed, confirmed, and on record

You receive confirmation of the filing with a copy of the accepted document. The next anniversary date is noted and the process repeats. Your company stays on the register and the obligation is off your plate for another year.

Questions

Answers to what most directors ask first

What exactly is a confirmation statement and what does filing it involve?+

A confirmation statement is an annual filing that every UK limited company must submit to Companies House. It confirms that the information held on the public register — officers, registered office, share structure, SIC codes, and persons of significant control — is accurate as of a specific review date. It replaced the old annual return in 2016. Filing it is not complicated, but the deadline must be met: Companies House has 14 days from the review date, and a company that fails to file can be struck off the register.

What does it cost and what is included in the fee?+

Confirmation statement filing is priced on a fixed-fee basis, confirmed in writing before any work begins. The fee covers preparation of the filing, a review of your current registered information, submission to Companies House, and confirmation of acceptance. If you also need a registered office address, that is available as a separate add-on at a fixed annual rate. No hourly rates and no variable charges depending on how many updates need to be made.

My last confirmation statement may not have been filed correctly — can you fix that?+

Yes. When we take on a new company, we review the Companies House record as part of onboarding. If previous filings contain inaccuracies — incorrect SIC codes, outdated officer details, or a PSC register that was never properly completed — we identify what needs correcting and advise on the right approach. In some cases, corrections are made as part of the next confirmation statement; in others, a separate amendment is needed. Either way, you will know what the issue is before we proceed.

Is there a long-term contract or minimum commitment?+

There is no long-term contract. The confirmation statement service runs on an annual basis, and you are under no obligation to continue beyond the current year. If you decide to move elsewhere, your Companies House filing history will be up to date and your records will be handed over cleanly. We would rather earn your continued business by doing a good job than retain it through contractual terms.

Can you also handle my year-end accounts and corporation tax return?+

Yes. Most clients who come to us for confirmation statement filing also take on year-end accounts and the CT600 corporation tax return at the same time. Combining these is straightforward — the underlying company information is already in our hands, and there is no duplication of onboarding. A combined fixed-fee proposal covering all three is easy to put together on the discovery call.

What is the deadline for filing a confirmation statement, and what happens if it is missed?+

The confirmation statement must be filed within 14 days of the review date, which falls on the anniversary of either the company’s incorporation date or the date of the last confirmation statement. If the deadline is missed, Companies House will issue a formal notice and, if the company continues to default, begin the process of striking it off. A struck-off company loses its legal existence, which creates significant complications for contracts, banking, and any future trading. The short answer is that it is worth tracking the date carefully — which is exactly what we do.
