Sound familiar?
Contracting is complicated enough without the tax admin.
Running your work through a limited company keeps things efficient, until the compliance starts stacking up. Year-end accounts, corporation tax, VAT, director self assessment, payroll, confirmation statements — each one has a deadline, and missing any of them costs money. IR35 sits over the top of all of it. Most contractors carry a quiet background worry that something is being missed.
- ✕ Not entirely sure what your corporation tax bill will be this year
- ✕ IR35 status never formally reviewed for your current engagement
- ✕ Accountant hard to reach, slow to respond, or just processing paperwork
What sorted looks like
Your compliance is handled, your tax position is visible months ahead of any deadline, and your accountant already understands how contractor engagements work before you explain it.
- ✓ Corporation tax calculated and visible well before the filing deadline
- ✓ IR35 position reviewed and documented for your current engagement
- ✓ Questions answered within one working day, every time
- ✓ One fixed monthly fee covering everything agreed — no surprise invoices

What makes the difference for contractors
There are plenty of accountants who will process your paperwork. Fewer who already understand how contractor engagements, limited company structures, and IR35 actually work.
IR35 handled without guesswork
IR35 is one of the most misunderstood areas of contractor tax, and getting it wrong carries real financial consequences. Supreme Consulting reviews contractor engagements with the specific CEST factors in mind and produces a documented position you can keep on file. You know where you stand before accepting work, not after.
Twenty years with limited companies
Founded in 2005, Supreme Consulting has worked with owner-managed limited companies across almost every sector for over two decades. The compliance requirements, the dividend and salary balance, the timing of corporation tax payments — none of it needs explaining before a useful conversation can happen.
Fixed fee, no surprises
Everything in your agreed scope is covered by one monthly fee. No hourly billing, no ad hoc invoices for a quick email, no bill you were not expecting at year-end. If the scope changes, that conversation happens upfront — not on the invoice.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
Most contractors are onboarded and have their records in order within two to three weeks of first contact. The process is designed so the heavy lifting falls on us.
A no-obligation discovery call
We start with a short call to understand your current setup — your company structure, how you operate, and what is and is not being handled at the moment. There is no sales script. You will leave the call with a clear picture of what would change and what it would cost.
A clear, fixed-fee proposal
You receive a written proposal covering the exact services, timelines, and fee — broken down clearly so you know what is included. Nothing is left vague. If you have questions before signing, ask them.
We handle the transition
We contact your previous accountant, collect the records, and migrate everything to the cloud. If your books need catching up, we handle that too. You do not need to chase anyone or prepare documents in advance — we will tell you exactly what we need.
Your accounts running quietly in the background
Compliance is handled to deadline, your tax position is visible throughout the year, and your accountant is reachable when questions come up. Which is, frankly, the way it should have been from the start.
“Stuart is a thorough efficient worker who produces good quality results at a reasonable price.”
Things contractors usually ask before getting started
Do you understand how contractors operate — IR35, limited companies, dividend planning?
Yes, and you will not need to spend the first thirty minutes of a call explaining the basics. Supreme Consulting has worked with contractors running limited companies since 2005. IR35 status reviews, the salary and dividend balance, corporation tax timing, and the interaction between your company income and personal self assessment — all of this is standard territory. If your engagement has specific considerations, we work through them with you.
What does it cost and what is included?
Pricing is fixed-fee, scoped to your specific situation. A typical limited company contractor package covers year-end accounts, corporation tax return, confirmation statement, and director self assessment. Bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and advisory services are scoped and priced separately if needed. You receive a written proposal before anything is agreed, with no ambiguity about what is and is not included.
My books are behind and my previous accountant was not great — is that a problem?
It is not unusual. Most clients who switch to us arrive with records in some state of disarray. Catch-up bookkeeping is a standard part of onboarding, and we handle the transition — contacting your previous accountant and collecting everything that is needed. Where there is a backlog, we give you a clear cost for the catch-up work before starting. There are no nasty surprises once the engagement begins.
Am I tied into a long-term contract?
No. There is no minimum term. If you decide the arrangement is not working, you leave with your books up to date, your records transferred, and nothing outstanding. We would rather earn continued work on the basis of the service than a contract clause.
Can you help if I am inside IR35 and operating through an umbrella company?
If you are currently inside IR35 and considering whether to continue through an umbrella or restructure for future engagements, that is a conversation worth having before making a decision either way. Supreme Consulting can review your contracts, advise on the status determination factors, and help you plan around the most tax-efficient approach given your expected work pattern.
How far in advance will I know what my tax bill is going to be?
With cloud bookkeeping updated regularly, your corporation tax liability is visible throughout the year — not just when we prepare the year-end accounts. You will know your approximate position well before the payment deadline, which gives you time to plan cash flow rather than react to it. Director self assessment is handled well ahead of the 31 January deadline for the same reason.
