Corporation Tax Returns Hampshire

Corporation Tax Returns — Hampshire

Your CT600 filed correctly, on time, every time.

Most Hampshire limited company directors are paying more corporation tax than they need to, or filing late because the year-end crept up on them. We handle the CT600 return from start to finish, at a fixed fee, with replies within one working day.

  • CT600 prepared and filed before HMRC’s deadline
  • Tax-deductible expenses identified before the return is submitted
  • Your tax liability confirmed months before it falls due
  • Fixed-fee pricing — no hourly surprises after the fact

No long-term contract. If the arrangement is not working after three months, you leave with clean, filed accounts and nothing outstanding.

Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your corporation tax bill will be?

For most owner-managed limited companies in Hampshire, corporation tax is something that gets dealt with at the last minute, after the year-end accounts are finally done. By that point, there is little room to reduce the bill, and the deadline is already close. A few specific things tend to go wrong.

  • ✕ Filing the CT600 late because year-end accounts were delayed
  • ✕ Missing allowable deductions that could have reduced the tax owed
  • ✕ No clear picture of the tax liability until the return is almost due

What a properly handled CT600 looks like

Corporation tax does not have to arrive as an unwelcome surprise. When the accounts and return are handled together, by the same firm, on a fixed fee, the numbers are clear well before HMRC sends a reminder.

  • ✓ CT600 filed on time, with year-end accounts prepared in parallel
  • ✓ Allowable expenses reviewed before the return is submitted
  • ✓ Tax liability confirmed months before the payment deadline
  • ✓ Fixed-fee quote agreed upfront — no invoice surprises

What you get

What the corporation tax service covers

The CT600 return is prepared alongside your year-end accounts so everything is consistent, filed together, and your tax position is visible well before the due date.

01

CT600 Preparation and Filing

Your corporation tax return is prepared from the year-end figures, reviewed for accuracy, and filed with HMRC within the statutory deadline. Allowable deductions — including capital allowances, director expenses, and any available reliefs — are considered before submission, so the final liability reflects what you actually owe.

Included as standard
02

Year-End Accounts Prepared Together

The CT600 and statutory accounts are prepared in tandem, which removes the risk of inconsistencies between the two filings. You receive a clear summary of the figures and a plain-English explanation of what the tax charge is and why, before anything is submitted.

Filed with Companies House and HMRC
03

Tax Position Known in Advance

Rather than discovering the corporation tax liability at the point of filing, you will know the approximate amount several months before payment falls due. That gives you time to plan cash flow, set funds aside, or explore any remaining tax planning options before the window closes.

Proactive, not reactive

Why Supreme Consulting

Why Hampshire companies use us for corporation tax

There are plenty of accountants who will file a CT600. Fewer will look at your figures before the year-end and tell you where the tax position could be improved.

📅

Over 20 years filing CT600 returns

Supreme Consulting has been preparing corporation tax returns for owner-managed limited companies since 2005. That means familiarity with the deductions directors commonly miss, the reliefs most small businesses qualify for, and the errors that trigger HMRC attention. Experience is reflected in the accuracy of what gets filed.

💷

Fixed fee, agreed before work starts

The price for your CT600 and year-end accounts is confirmed at the outset, not calculated after the work is done. No hourly rates, no ambiguity about what is included. If the scope changes, a revised quote is agreed before anything additional is undertaken.

💡

Tax position reviewed, not just filed

Filing the return is the minimum. Before it is submitted, the figures are reviewed for available capital allowances, director loan account balances, and any reliefs applicable to your business. The result is a return that reflects your actual position, with the liability as accurate as it can be.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

Most clients are onboarded within a week. The transition is handled on our side — you do not need to do anything before the first call.

1

A brief discovery call

We start with a short, no-obligation conversation to understand your business structure, your current accountant arrangement, and what you need. It takes around 20 minutes and costs nothing. You will know by the end of the call whether we are a good fit.

2

A clear, fixed-fee proposal

You receive a written proposal setting out exactly what is included — CT600, year-end accounts, Companies House filing — and at what price. No ambiguity, no hourly rates, no vague references to complexity charges.

3

We handle the transition

If you are moving from another accountant, we request professional clearance and collect the records we need. You do not need to chase your previous accountant or collate information in any particular format. That part is managed on your behalf.

4

Filed, confirmed, and done

Your year-end accounts and CT600 are prepared, reviewed with you, and filed. You will know the tax liability well before the payment deadline, and the compliance obligation for the year is complete. Which is, frankly, how it should work.

Questions

Common questions about corporation tax returns

Do you only handle the CT600, or do you prepare the year-end accounts as well?+

We prepare both together. The CT600 is derived from the year-end statutory accounts, so doing them separately — or with different firms — creates unnecessary risk of inconsistencies. Our standard limited company service covers the full statutory accounts, corporation tax return, and Companies House filing as a single, fixed-fee engagement.

What does it cost, and what exactly is included?+

Pricing is fixed and confirmed before any work begins. The quote covers preparation of the statutory accounts, the CT600 return, Companies House filing, and access to us throughout the year for questions related to the return. The fee depends on the size and complexity of your business, which is why we provide a written proposal after the discovery call rather than publishing a price list.

My books are behind and I have not filed for a year. Can you still help?+

Yes. Catch-up work is something we handle regularly. The first step is understanding how far behind the records are and what information is available. We will be straightforward with you about the time and cost involved in getting to a point where the CT600 can be filed. Late filing penalties from HMRC are calculated based on how overdue the return is, so the sooner this is addressed, the better.

Is there a long-term contract or minimum commitment?+

No. There is no minimum term and no lock-in. If the arrangement is not working, you are free to move on. What we ask for is reasonable notice so that we can prepare your records and handover files properly, which is standard practice between professional firms. You will not be left with incomplete accounts or missing documents.

Can you help with R&D tax credits if my company qualifies?+

Yes. R&D tax relief is a legitimate and often underutilised relief for companies carrying out qualifying innovation or development work. We review eligibility as part of the year-end process for clients in relevant sectors — including tech, engineering, and product development — and prepare the claim where the activity qualifies. HMRC scrutiny of R&D claims has increased, so the quality of the supporting documentation matters considerably.

How far in advance will I know what my corporation tax bill is going to be?+

For most clients, we aim to have draft accounts and a provisional tax figure ready within six to eight weeks of the accounting year-end. That gives you time to review the numbers, ask questions, and make payment arrangements before the nine-month deadline arrives. The exact timeline depends on how quickly the underlying bookkeeping records are available.
