Year-end accounts

Year-End Accounts — Hampshire

Your year-end accounts, done properly.

Most limited company directors reach year-end with records in varying states of order and little idea what the tax bill will be. Supreme Consulting prepares and files your statutory accounts and corporation tax return on a fixed fee, with any query answered within one working day.

  • Statutory accounts prepared and filed well ahead of the Companies House deadline
  • Corporation tax liability calculated and explained before it becomes due
  • Directors’ personal tax position reviewed alongside the company accounts
  • Fixed fee agreed upfront — you know the cost before we start

No long-term contract. If the arrangement is not working after three months, you leave with compliant, filed accounts and nothing further owed.

Takes Time to Explain Everything

Sound familiar?

Leaving year-end until the last minute again?

Year-end arrives faster than expected. Records are spread across bank statements, a half-finished spreadsheet, and a folder of receipts that was last touched in January. Most directors hand over a pile of paperwork and wait weeks to find out what they owe HMRC — often with little time to plan for it.

  • ✕ Deadlines looming with no clear picture of the final figures
  • ✕ Corporation tax bill arriving as a surprise rather than a known number
  • ✕ Spending evenings pulling records together instead of running the business

What a clean year-end looks like

Accounts prepared from well-organised records, filed on time, and a tax bill you knew about months before it was due. The director signs off a clear set of figures with no scramble and no guesswork.

  • ✓ Accounts prepared to a clear timeline — filing deadline never in doubt
  • ✓ Corporation tax liability known and planned for well before the due date
  • ✓ Records collation handled so your evenings stay free
  • ✓ Fixed fee agreed at the outset — no billing surprises at the end

What you get

What the year-end service covers

A complete, filed set of statutory accounts and corporation tax return — with the director’s tax position considered and everything submitted on time.

01

Statutory Accounts and CT600

Your annual accounts are prepared to Companies House standard and your corporation tax return filed with HMRC. Both deadlines are tracked from the outset, so there is no last-minute scramble and no penalty exposure.

Included as standard
02

Tax Liability, Planned in Advance

Your corporation tax liability is calculated and communicated well before the payment deadline. Where dividend planning or director’s salary considerations apply, these are factored in at the same time rather than treated as a separate conversation.

Included as standard
03

Confirmation Statement and Company Secretarial

The annual confirmation statement to Companies House is handled alongside the accounts — nothing left outstanding on the register. Registered office service is available for clients who need a Hampshire address on record.

Why Supreme Consulting

Why small businesses stay with us

Founded in 2005 and serving owner-managed businesses ever since. A few things that tend to matter when you are choosing an accountant for year-end.

📅

Over 20 years filing accounts

Supreme Consulting has been preparing and filing year-end accounts since 2005. That is two decades of dealing with Companies House, HMRC deadlines, and the full range of circumstances that arise in owner-managed businesses. Very little comes up that has not been seen before.

☁️

Cloud records speed everything up

Working in Xero or QuickBooks Online means your bookkeeping data is already in order when year-end arrives. There is no courier of carrier bags, no manual reconciliation from scratch. The accounts are prepared from live, current data — which means faster turnaround and fewer queries going back and forth.

💷

Fixed fee, agreed before we start

The cost of your year-end accounts is confirmed in writing before any work begins. No hourly billing that expands with every email you send. If your circumstances are straightforward, the fee reflects that. If they are more involved, that is priced clearly too.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

Most clients are onboarded and have a clear filing plan within a week of the first call. The process is designed to require as little from you as possible.

1

A brief discovery call

We spend 20 to 30 minutes understanding your business, your current accounting setup, and when your year-end falls. No preparation needed on your part — just a conversation about where things stand.

2

A clear, fixed-fee proposal

You receive a written proposal covering exactly what is included, what the fee is, and the filing timeline. No ambiguity about what is in scope and what is not.

3

We handle the transition

If you are moving from another accountant, we manage the professional handover and obtain any records needed. If your books need tidying before accounts can be prepared, we do that too — quoted separately and clearly.

4

Accounts filed, tax known

Your statutory accounts are filed, your corporation tax return is submitted, and you know your tax liability well in advance of the payment date. Which is, frankly, the way it should work every year.

Questions

Things people usually ask us first

What exactly is included in the year-end accounts service?+

The core service covers preparation of your statutory accounts to Companies House standard, your corporation tax return (CT600) filed with HMRC, and calculation of your tax liability. For limited companies, we also handle the filing of the accounts with Companies House within the statutory deadline. Director’s personal tax considerations are reviewed at the same time where relevant, and confirmation statement filing can be added if needed.

How much does it cost and how is it priced?+

Year-end accounts are priced on a fixed fee, agreed before any work begins. The fee depends on the size and complexity of the business, the state of the underlying records, and what is in scope. A sole trader year-end is priced differently from a limited company with payroll, VAT, and multiple directors. You will receive a written quote after the discovery call — no obligation to proceed.

My records are in a bit of a state — can you still help?+

Yes, and it is not unusual. Many new clients arrive with bookkeeping that has fallen behind, bank accounts that have not been reconciled, and receipts in various places. Catch-up bookkeeping is priced separately from the year-end accounts themselves, clearly and upfront, so you know what the total cost will be before we start. Once the records are in order, the accounts can be prepared.

Am I tied into a long-term contract?+

No. There is no minimum term and no lock-in period. If you decide to move to a different accountant, we will provide all the records and information your new firm needs to take over. You leave with everything properly filed and nothing outstanding.

What are the deadlines for filing limited company accounts?+

For most private limited companies, accounts must be filed with Companies House within nine months of the company’s financial year-end. The corporation tax return and any payment due to HMRC fall nine months and one day after the accounting period ends. Missing either deadline results in automatic penalties, so we track both from the outset and build the preparation timeline around them.

Can you help with tax planning at the same time as preparing the accounts?+

Yes, and it is considerably more useful to do it at year-end than to leave it until later. When the accounts are being prepared, we have a clear picture of the company’s profit, the director’s drawings, and the overall tax position. Dividend versus salary planning, pension contributions, and any available allowances can all be considered at that point rather than retrospectively.
