Xero Accounting Services
Your Xero accounting, set up and working.
Many businesses sign up to Xero and then spend months with a half-configured system, bank feeds that do not reconcile, and no clear picture of where they actually stand. We set it up properly, keep it current, and use it to give you numbers worth looking at. Fixed-fee pricing, Xero certified, replies within one working day.
- Xero configured correctly from the start, not retrofitted later
- Bank feeds reconciled monthly so your numbers are always current
- VAT returns filed on time through MTD-compliant Xero submissions
- Year-end accounts drawn from clean, accurate Xero records
No long-term contract. If it is not working after three months, you leave with a properly maintained Xero file and nothing owed.

Sound familiar?
Still not sure if your Xero is actually right?
Xero is straightforward to sign up for and genuinely difficult to configure well. Bank feeds connect but do not reconcile properly. VAT codes get applied inconsistently. The chart of accounts bears little resemblance to how the business actually works. By the time year-end arrives, whoever prepares the accounts has a significant amount of tidying to do first.
- ✕ Bank reconciliation months behind, with unexplained differences piling up
- ✕ VAT codes applied inconsistently, making each return a manual correction exercise
- ✕ Year-end accounts delayed because the underlying Xero file needs cleaning before anyone can use it
What a properly maintained Xero file looks like
Clean records, correctly coded from the start. Reconciled monthly. VAT returns that pull from figures you can trust. When your accountant logs in, the work is accounting, not archaeology.
- ✓ Bank accounts reconciled monthly with no unexplained differences sitting unresolved
- ✓ VAT coded consistently so each return is a submission, not a correction exercise
- ✓ Year-end drawn from accurate Xero data, with no catch-up work required before filing
- ✓ Fixed monthly fee, scoped clearly upfront with no surprise additions

Xero Setup and Migration
Your chart of accounts is structured around how your business works, not a generic template. Bank feeds, payment integrations, and tax settings are configured correctly from day one. If you are migrating from another system, historical data is brought across cleanly so nothing is lost.
One-off or included in packageMonthly Bookkeeping and Reconciliation
Transactions are coded, bank accounts reconciled, and your Xero file kept current every month. You can log in at any point and see figures that reflect where the business actually stands. No backlogs, no guesswork at year-end.

What makes the difference in practice
Xero certification is a baseline. The value is in how the system is configured for your specific business and what is done with the data afterwards.
Certified in Xero from the start
Supreme Consulting is Xero certified and uses it as the primary platform for every client on a cloud bookkeeping package. That means configuration decisions are made once, correctly, and maintained consistently. There is no learning curve at your expense.
Numbers used, not just filed
A well-maintained Xero file produces management information worth reading. Alongside the bookkeeping, we use your data to flag cash flow pressure, monitor VAT thresholds, and surface anything that warrants a conversation before it becomes a problem. Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling.
Fixed fee, scoped before work begins
The quote sets out exactly what is included and what it costs each month. There are no hourly rates running in the background and no invoice at year-end that is larger than expected. If the scope changes, that conversation happens before the work does.
Up and running in four steps
The transition is handled on our side. Most clients are fully onboarded within two weeks of the initial call.
A brief discovery call
We talk through your current setup, what software you are using, how far behind the books are, and what you need from Xero going forward. No obligation. The call takes around 20 minutes and you leave knowing exactly what happens next.
A clear, fixed-fee proposal
You receive a written proposal covering the scope of work, what is included, and the monthly cost. Nothing is vague and nothing is left to interpretation. If anything needs clarifying before you sign, that is what the proposal stage is for.
Onboarding and Xero setup
We handle the Xero configuration, connect your bank feeds, migrate any historical data, and set up the integrations your business uses. If you are switching from another accountant, we liaise with them directly to obtain what is needed.
Books kept, questions answered
From the first month onwards, your Xero file is maintained, your VAT is filed on time, and questions get answered the day you ask them. The books are current, your tax position is visible, and the year-end holds no surprises. Which is, frankly, the way it should be.
“Stuart is a thorough efficient worker who produces good quality results at a reasonable price.”
Things people usually want to know
Do you just set up Xero, or do you manage it on an ongoing basis?
Both, depending on what you need. Some clients come to us for an initial setup and migration, then handle the day-to-day themselves. Most prefer an ongoing bookkeeping arrangement where we maintain the file monthly, reconcile the accounts, and prepare the VAT returns. The scope is agreed upfront and reflected in the fixed fee, so there is no ambiguity about who is responsible for what.
What does Xero bookkeeping cost and what is included?
Pricing is fixed-fee and scoped to your business size, transaction volume, and the services required. A typical monthly bookkeeping package covers bank reconciliation, transaction coding, VAT return preparation and submission, and access to support throughout the month. The quote sets out exactly what is included before work begins. There are no hourly rates and no year-end surprises.
My Xero is a mess. Can you sort it out before taking it on?
This is a common starting point. Catch-up and clean-up work is quoted separately and clearly before anything is touched, so you know what the remediation costs before committing. Once the file is in good shape, the ongoing monthly fee kicks in. Most clean-up projects are completed within two to four weeks depending on how far back the backlog runs.
Is there a minimum contract period?
There is no long-term lock-in. Services run on a monthly basis and either party can give notice without penalty. In practice, clients stay because the service works, not because they are contractually obliged to. If you leave, you leave with a well-maintained Xero file that any accountant can pick up immediately.
Can you migrate us from Sage, QuickBooks, or a spreadsheet?
Yes. Migration from Sage, QuickBooks Online, FreeAgent, and spreadsheet-based records is handled as part of onboarding. Opening balances, historical transactions, and chart of accounts mapping are all dealt with before the live bookkeeping begins. The process is straightforward for most small businesses and typically takes one to two weeks.
Will I be able to see my tax position throughout the year, not just at year-end?
With a properly maintained Xero file, your corporation tax or income tax liability can be estimated at any point during the year, not just when the accountant starts preparing the return. We flag material changes in profitability as they emerge so you can make informed decisions about drawings, pension contributions, or expenditure without waiting for a year-end conversation.
