Sound familiar?

Payroll eating time you do not have?

For most small businesses in Lymington, payroll is not complicated — it just has to be right, every month, without fail. RTI submissions need to go in on time. PAYE and NI need to be correct. If you have subcontractors, CIS deductions add another layer. Most owners end up doing it themselves, hoping nothing slips through.

  • RTI submissions going in late or incorrectly, risking HMRC penalties
  • PAYE and NI calculations done manually, with no confidence they are right
  • CIS deductions and monthly returns causing confusion each pay cycle

What a tidy payroll looks like

When payroll runs through a bureau, the risk moves with it. Submissions go in on time. Calculations are checked. You get a payslip schedule and nothing to worry about until next month.

  • RTI submissions filed correctly and on time, every pay run, without chasing
  • PAYE and NI calculated accurately each cycle, with a clear payslip schedule
  • CIS payroll handled end to end, including deductions and monthly HMRC returns
  • Fixed monthly fee — you know what payroll costs before the invoice arrives

What you get

What the payroll fee covers

Supreme Consulting’s payroll bureau service covers everything from weekly to monthly pay runs, including the parts most people find awkward to keep on top of.

01

PAYE Payroll and RTI Submissions

Each pay run is calculated and submitted to HMRC via RTI before the deadline. Payslips are issued to employees and you receive a clear summary of the figures. No chasing, no last-minute scramble.

Included as standard
02

CIS Payroll for Contractors

If you work in construction and pay subcontractors, CIS deductions need to be calculated, applied, and reported to HMRC monthly. This is handled as part of the service, alongside verification of new subbies. You get the deduction statements you are required to provide.

Available as add-on
03

Pension Auto-Enrolment Support

Employer pension obligations do not stop at calculating contributions. Assessment of new starters, communication obligations, and submission to your pension provider are all part of running a compliant payroll. These are covered within the service so the administrative side does not fall back on you.

Why Supreme Consulting

Why Lymington businesses use us for payroll

There are plenty of payroll providers. These are the specific reasons clients in Hampshire stay with us.

🏗️

CIS payroll handled without fuss

Construction Industry Scheme payroll has enough moving parts — verifying subbies, applying the right deduction rate, issuing statements, filing monthly returns — that getting it wrong is genuinely easy. Supreme Consulting has handled CIS payroll for contractors and subcontractors for years. You will not need to explain how it works before getting a useful answer.

📅

Over 20 years running payroll bureaus

Founded in 2005, Supreme Consulting has processed payroll for businesses ranging from sole director companies to multi-employee operations. The RTI regime, auto-enrolment obligations, and payroll year-end have all been navigated many times. Experience means fewer surprises for you.

💷

Fixed fee, no billing surprises

Payroll pricing at Supreme Consulting is fixed to the number of employees and pay frequency, agreed upfront. If a question comes up mid-month about a new starter or a leaver, answering it is part of the service, not an excuse to add a line to the invoice.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

Switching payroll to a bureau is straightforward. Most clients are fully set up within a week and have nothing to do on the next pay run but approve the figures.

1

A brief discovery call

A short conversation — usually 20 minutes — to understand your current payroll setup, the number of employees, pay frequency, and whether CIS applies. You will leave the call with a fixed-fee quote and a clear picture of what happens next.

2

Receive a fixed-fee proposal

You get a written proposal covering exactly what is included: pay runs, RTI submissions, payslips, and any CIS or pension elements. The fee is fixed. There are no hidden extras for standard payroll queries.

3

We take over the setup

Supreme Consulting migrates your existing payroll data, sets up any required integrations, and handles the handover from your previous provider or spreadsheet. HMRC is notified where required. You do not need to manage the transition.

4

Payroll runs itself

Each pay cycle, your payroll is processed, submitted, and summarised. Payslips go to employees. Any queries come to us, not to you. Payroll becomes one of those things that just happens — which is broadly how it should work.

Questions

Common questions about our payroll service

Do you handle CIS payroll for contractors and subcontractors?+

Yes. CIS payroll is a standard part of the service for construction businesses. This covers verification of new subcontractors, applying the correct deduction rate (20% or 30% depending on registration status), issuing deduction statements, and filing the monthly CIS return with HMRC. If you take on a new subbie mid-month, that is handled without a separate charge.

What does the payroll service cost and what is included?+

Pricing is fixed and based on the number of employees and how frequently you run payroll. The fee covers pay run calculations, RTI submissions, payslips, and payroll year-end (P60s and P11Ds where applicable). There is no hourly rate for mid-month queries about starters, leavers, or statutory pay. You will receive a written quote before anything starts.

My current payroll records are a mess. Can you still take it on?+

Yes. A degree of catch-up work is fairly common, particularly for businesses moving away from DIY spreadsheets or a previous provider who was not keeping things tidy. The first step is a payroll health check to establish where things stand. Any remedial work is quoted separately and clearly before it begins.

Is there a long-term contract?+

No. Payroll is priced on a monthly rolling basis. If you decide the service is not working for you, you give reasonable notice and leave with clean, complete payroll records. There is no tie-in period and no penalty for leaving.

Can you handle statutory payments such as SMP, SSP, and ShPP?+

Yes. Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Sick Pay, and Shared Parental Pay are calculated and processed as part of the payroll service. HMRC recovery of statutory payments is also handled where applicable, so the administrative side of employee absence does not become a separate headache.

Will I know what my employer NI liability is before the payment deadline?+

Yes. Each pay run summary includes a clear breakdown of employer NI, employee NI, PAYE, and net pay. You will know what is due to HMRC well before the 19th or 22nd of the following month, with no last-minute calculations required on your end.
