Cash Flow Forecasting New Milton

Cash Flow Forecasting — New Milton

Know what is coming, before it arrives.

Most cash flow problems are visible weeks or months ahead if someone is looking. For New Milton businesses that want to plan rather than react, we build forecasts that reflect how your business actually works. Fixed-fee pricing, responses within one working day, and 21 years of hands-on commercial experience.

  • See your cash position 3, 6, or 12 months out with confidence
  • Spot shortfalls before they become emergencies
  • Plan hiring, investment, and tax payments around actual numbers
  • Built in Xero or QuickBooks so the forecast stays live, not stale

No long-term contract. If it is not working after three months, you leave with a clean forecast model and nothing owed.

Sound familiar?

Running the business, guessing the cash?

A surprising number of profitable businesses run into cash flow trouble simply because no one was watching ahead. Invoices go out, bills come in, and the picture in the bank account today tells you almost nothing about what the next quarter looks like. That uncertainty makes it difficult to hire, invest, or commit to anything with confidence.

  • No clear view of cash beyond the current bank balance
  • Tax and VAT bills arriving as surprises rather than planned expenses
  • Growth decisions delayed because the numbers are not visible far enough ahead

What a working forecast looks like

A properly built cash flow forecast gives you a running view of your position weeks and months out. It is connected to your real numbers, updated regularly, and plain enough to actually use when decisions need to be made.

  • A rolling 12-month cash view, updated from your live accounts
  • Tax, VAT, and payroll built in so nothing lands as a surprise
  • Scenario modelling so growth decisions have numbers behind them
  • Fixed monthly fee — no surprises on the invoice either

What you get

Three things your forecast covers

Cash flow forecasting with Supreme Consulting covers the modelling, the ongoing maintenance, and the advisory layer that turns numbers into decisions.

01

Rolling Cash Flow Model

We build a 12-month rolling forecast connected to your Xero or QuickBooks data, so it reflects actual trading rather than assumptions made once and forgotten. Updated monthly, it shows income, outgoings, tax liabilities, and net cash position in one place. You always know where you stand.

Core deliverable
02

Scenario Planning and Stress Testing

Good forecasting is not just the most likely outcome. We model what happens if a key client delays payment, if you take on a new member of staff, or if a large tax payment coincides with a slow month. That preparation is what prevents most cash flow crises.

03

Monthly Review and Advice

The forecast is reviewed with you each month, variances are explained in plain English, and forward decisions are flagged before they become urgent. This is the CFO function that most small businesses do not have internally but benefit from considerably.

Why Supreme Consulting

Why businesses in New Milton choose us

There are plenty of accountants who will file your returns. Fewer will tell you what your cash position looks like in October before it is October.

📊

Forecasts built on real numbers

We connect your cash flow model directly to your live accounting data in Xero or QuickBooks rather than building a spreadsheet that goes out of date the week it is created. That means the forecast reflects trading reality, including VAT liabilities, payroll runs, and supplier payment cycles. You are not guessing — you are reading.

📅

Two decades of commercial experience

Supreme Consulting was founded in 2005 and has worked with small businesses, contractors, and property investors across Hampshire ever since. Cash flow forecasting is not a theoretical exercise here — Stuart has seen enough business cycles to know which assumptions are optimistic and which are grounded. That perspective is part of every model we build.

💷

Fixed fee, no clock-watching

Forecasting work is priced as a fixed monthly retainer so there is no disincentive to ask a question or request an updated scenario. You will not find yourself calculating whether a phone call is worth the hourly rate. The fee covers the work, clearly scoped before you commit.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

Most clients have a working draft forecast within two weeks of first contact. Here is how that happens.

1

A no-obligation discovery call

We start with a short conversation about your business, your current accounting setup, and what you actually want to see from a forecast. No preparation required on your part. You explain the basics; we ask the right questions.

2

A clear, fixed-fee proposal

You will receive a written proposal covering exactly what is included, the monthly fee, and what the first few weeks look like. No open-ended commitments and no hidden add-ons to discover later.

3

Onboarding and model build

We connect to your Xero or QuickBooks, review your recent trading history, and build the initial forecast model. If your books need tidying before the forecast is meaningful, we will tell you that upfront with a clear cost.

4

A forecast you can actually use

From the first monthly review onwards, you have a running view of your cash position and a direct line to someone who can explain what it means. Growth decisions become less fraught when the numbers are visible ahead of time, which is, frankly, the way it should be.

Questions

What people usually ask before getting started

Can you build a forecast that works for my type of business, or is it just a generic spreadsheet?+

Every model is built around your actual revenue streams, payment terms, supplier cycles, and known liabilities. A retail business with seasonal peaks looks nothing like a construction contractor with CIS deductions or a landlord with quarterly rent receipts. We ask the right questions at the start so the forecast reflects how your business actually moves money, not a generic template.

What does cash flow forecasting cost and what is included?+

Pricing is fixed and agreed before work begins, typically structured as a monthly retainer covering the model build, monthly updates, and a review call. The fee depends on the complexity of your business and how frequently you want the forecast updated. You will receive a written quote after the initial call with everything in it.

My bookkeeping is behind. Can you still build a useful forecast?+

A forecast is only as reliable as the underlying data, so if your books are significantly out of date we will say so clearly. In many cases we can do a catch-up clean alongside the forecast build, costed separately. It is better to know upfront than to discover the issue three months in when a planning decision depended on numbers that were not right.

Is there a long-term contract?+

No. There is no minimum term beyond the initial quarter, which gives us enough time to build something worthwhile and give you a fair basis for deciding whether it is working. If you want to stop after that, your model and your data remain yours. Nothing is held back.

Can the forecast be used for a bank loan or funding application?+

Yes. Lenders typically want to see a 12-month or 3-year cash flow projection alongside management accounts. We can format the forecast for that purpose and include the assumptions clearly documented, which is what most lenders and investors ask to see. If you are approaching a bank or raising investment, let us know at the outset so the model is built with that in mind.

How far ahead can a cash flow forecast reliably look?+

Most small businesses find a rolling 12-month forecast gives the right balance of usefulness and credibility. Beyond 12 months the assumptions multiply and the precision decreases, though a 3-year projection is worth building for strategic planning or funding purposes as long as everyone understands the margin of uncertainty. We will be direct with you about what the numbers can and cannot tell you at any given horizon.
