Sound familiar?
Running a limited company with no idea what is coming.
Most directors know roughly what they owe at year-end but not exactly when, not how to reduce it, and not whether they are drawing money in the most efficient way. Deadlines arrive. Software flags things. Questions sit in the inbox of an accountant who takes a week to reply. It adds up.
- Corporation tax bill arrives as a surprise with no time to plan for it
- Director salary and dividends never properly reviewed, likely paying more tax than necessary
- Filing deadlines and confirmation statements tracked manually on a spreadsheet
What a well-run limited company looks like
All the compliance handled to deadline, a tax position you understand months before you have to act on it, and a fixed monthly fee so there are no surprises on either side.
- Corporation tax calculated early so you can plan payments without a scramble
- Salary and dividend mix reviewed annually to keep your personal tax bill efficient
- Every Companies House and HMRC deadline tracked and met as standard
- One fixed monthly fee covering your core compliance, with no unexpected invoices

What makes the difference in practice
There is no shortage of online accountants. The distinction is in the depth of experience behind the advice and the speed with which you can get a straight answer.
Over 20 years with owner-managed companies
Founded in 2005, Supreme Consulting has spent two decades working with directors of small limited companies. The practical questions directors face — how to structure drawings, when to register for VAT, how to handle a HMRC letter — are familiar ground. You will not be the first client to ask.
Cloud books you can actually see
Certified in Xero and QuickBooks Online, the firm sets up your cloud accounting properly from day one so your figures are current, not three months stale. Real-time visibility into turnover, tax position, and cash flow means fewer guesses when making decisions about the business.
A fixed fee with nothing hidden
Pricing is agreed upfront and tied to a written scope. Add-ons such as payroll or VAT are quoted separately and clearly before any work starts. There are no hourly rate surprises arriving on a quarterly invoice after the fact.
Up and running in four steps
The process is designed to be straightforward. Most clients are fully onboarded and have clean books within a few weeks of first contact.
A short discovery call
A no-obligation conversation to understand where your limited company currently stands — filing history, bookkeeping setup, any HMRC obligations outstanding. Takes around 30 minutes. No preparation required on your part.
A written, fixed-fee proposal
You receive a clear document setting out the scope, what is included, what is not, and the monthly cost. No vague estimates. You decide whether it works for you before committing to anything.
Onboarding and cloud setup
Supreme Consulting handles the HMRC agent authorisation, migrates your records to the cloud, and picks up any catch-up bookkeeping required. You provide access to accounts and records; the firm does the rest.
Compliance running, questions answered
From here, filing deadlines are tracked and met, your books are current, and questions get a response the same working day. The administrative side of running your limited company is considerably less of your problem.
“I’m so grateful for the help received with my small cleaning business. Stuart holds your hand and advises throughout!”
Things directors usually ask first
Do you work with limited companies of all sizes, or only larger businesses?
The firm works primarily with owner-managed limited companies — typically one or two directors, sometimes a small team. Most clients have a turnover somewhere between £50,000 and a few million pounds. If your company is newly incorporated or you are considering forming one, that is a reasonable starting point for a conversation too.
What is included in the fixed monthly fee, and what would cost extra?
The core limited company package covers year-end statutory accounts, corporation tax return (CT600), and the confirmation statement. Bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, and director’s Self Assessment are priced separately and added to the monthly retainer when required. Everything is scoped and agreed in writing before any work starts, so there are no mid-year additions you were not expecting.
My books are behind and my previous accountant left things in a state. Can you still help?
Yes, and it is a fairly common starting point. Catch-up bookkeeping is quoted separately from the ongoing monthly fee so the cost is transparent rather than buried. The onboarding process includes a review of what exists, what needs reconciling, and what, if anything, needs re-filing. It is easier to fix than most directors assume.
Is there a minimum contract term? What happens if I want to leave?
There is no long-term lock-in. If the arrangement is not working, you give reasonable notice and the firm hands everything back in order — accounts reconciled, HMRC authorisation transferred, and all your records accessible. The aim is to make leaving straightforward, because the intention is that you stay because it is working, not because it is complicated to go.
Can you help with director tax planning as well as company compliance?
Director salary and dividend planning is reviewed as part of the annual engagement for most limited company clients. More detailed planning — capital gains tax on a business sale, inheritance tax considerations, R&D relief — is available as an advisory service on top of the compliance work. It is worth raising at the discovery call so the scope can be built in from the start.
How far in advance will I know what my corporation tax bill is going to be?
In most cases, a reliable estimate is available once the year closes and the bookkeeping is current — typically weeks rather than months before the payment deadline. For clients on monthly bookkeeping, an informal picture of the likely tax position is available throughout the year. The aim is that the bill is not a surprise when it arrives.
