Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your tax bill will be?

Most owner-managed limited companies end up reactive — filing accounts close to the deadline, finding out the corporation tax figure too late to plan around it. The director’s salary and dividend split that made sense two years ago may no longer be the most efficient arrangement. And somewhere in the background, the confirmation statement date is quietly approaching.

  • Corporation tax calculated at year-end with no time left to plan
  • Director salary and dividend split not reviewed since the company was formed
  • Filing deadlines tracked manually, with no one watching the calendar

What a well-run company looks like

The compliance is handled before it becomes urgent. Your tax position is visible throughout the year. You have a fixed monthly cost and an accountant who already understands how your business works.

  • Corporation tax estimated quarterly so you can plan, not react
  • Salary and dividend structure reviewed annually for tax efficiency
  • All filing deadlines tracked and actioned without reminders from you
  • One fixed monthly fee covering the full compliance burden

Why Supreme Consulting

What makes the difference in practice

There are plenty of accountants in Hampshire. Here is what the day-to-day relationship actually looks like with this one.

📅

Twenty Years of Company Accounts

Supreme Consulting has worked with owner-managed limited companies since 2005. That means Stuart has seen the common problems before they become yours — dividend timing errors, missed confirmation statements, payroll irregularities flagged at year-end. Experience means fewer surprises for you.

☁️

Live Books, Not Year-End Archaeology

With Xero or QuickBooks Online at the centre of your accounts, your financial position is current rather than reconstructed. There is no box of receipts handed over in January and no waiting until after year-end to know roughly where you stand.

💷

Fixed Fee, Scope Agreed in Writing

Your monthly fee is agreed before work starts and covers the scope you have signed off. There are no hourly rates applied retrospectively and no invoice arriving with a line you did not expect. If scope changes, that conversation happens first.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

Most clients are fully onboarded within two weeks. The transition is handled at this end; you provide access and answer a few questions.

1

A Conversation, No Commitment

The first call is a straightforward discussion: your business, your current setup, what is working and what is not. There is no pitch and no obligation. You leave the call knowing exactly what would be included in a proposal.

2

A Clear, Fixed-Fee Proposal

You receive a written proposal with a defined scope, a fixed monthly fee, and a list of what is and is not included. Review it at your own pace. There are no time-limited offers and no pressure to sign the same day.

3

Onboarding Without the Headache

Once you confirm, we contact your previous accountant, collect the records we need, and migrate everything to the cloud. You provide access credentials and answer a few questions. The heavy lifting of transitioning is handled here.

4

Your Accounts, Running Smoothly

Deadlines are tracked, filings go out on time, and questions get answered the day you ask them. Quarterly check-ins keep your tax position visible. You spend your time on the business, not on the accounts.

Questions

Things people usually ask before signing up

Do you handle everything a limited company needs, or just the year-end accounts?+

Year-end accounts and the CT600 corporation tax return are the foundation, but most limited company clients also need payroll, VAT, a director’s Self Assessment return, and a confirmation statement filed each year. All of these can be included in a single monthly package, scoped and priced clearly before anything starts. Advisory work — dividend planning, cash flow, management accounts — can be added as the business grows.

What does it cost and what is included in the monthly fee?+

Pricing is fixed and agreed in writing before work begins, based on the scope of services and the size of the company. There are no hourly rates applied after the fact. A typical limited company package covers year-end accounts, corporation tax, and a confirmation statement, with payroll, VAT, and advisory services priced as additions. You will receive a specific written quote before committing to anything.

My books are behind and my previous accountant has the records. Is that a problem?+

It is a common starting point. Catch-up bookkeeping is a service we provide, and contacting your previous accountant to collect the records is something we handle on your behalf as part of onboarding. If the books require significant work to bring current, that will be scoped and quoted separately before it starts — no open-ended catch-up bills.

Is there a long-term contract or notice period?+

There is no long-term contract. Engagements run on a monthly basis with a standard notice period. If you decide to leave, your records are returned to you in good order and any outstanding filings are completed or clearly handed over. You will not find yourself without an accountant mid-year with nothing in place.

Can you help with IR35 if I operate through my limited company as a contractor?+

Yes. IR35 status reviews, contract assessments, and advice on how to structure your working arrangements to reflect genuine business operation are services we provide for contractor clients. If you have received a determination you want to review, or you are taking on a new contract and want to assess the risk before signing, that is a conversation worth having early.

How far in advance will I know what my corporation tax bill is going to be?+

With quarterly management accounts in place, the tax liability is estimated throughout the year rather than calculated for the first time at year-end. Most clients know their approximate corporation tax figure at least three months before it falls due, which is long enough to set aside the funds or adjust a dividend payment if needed.
