Sound familiar?

Still doing your own bookkeeping on a Sunday evening?

Most small business owners in New Milton end up managing their own books by default. It starts as a temporary measure and becomes a recurring drain on time that should be spent on the business. Meanwhile, the records drift, the VAT return looms, and the actual tax position stays unclear until someone has to sit down and work it all out.

  • ✕ Hours spent on reconciliation that never quite adds up correctly
  • ✕ No clear picture of profitability or cash position month to month
  • ✕ VAT return preparation left to the last week of the quarter

What kept books actually look like

Monthly bookkeeping handled on Xero or QuickBooks Online means your records are current, your VAT is visible, and your year-end involves considerably less scrambling than it used to.

  • ✓ Reconciliation completed monthly, reviewed, and ready for you to see
  • ✓ Profit and cash position clear at any point during the month
  • ✓ VAT figures prepared well before the quarterly deadline, not during it
  • ✓ Fixed monthly fee with the full scope agreed before anything starts

What you get

Bookkeeping that covers what actually matters

Monthly bookkeeping from Supreme Consulting is scope-based and fixed-fee. You know what is included before you sign anything, and the work gets done without chasing.

01

Monthly Bookkeeping on the Cloud

Transactions coded, accounts reconciled, and records kept current each month using Xero or QuickBooks Online. You get real-time visibility into your numbers without having to maintain them yourself. If something looks off, you hear about it before it becomes a problem.

Included as standard
02

VAT Returns and MTD Compliance

Your VAT position is calculated from your bookkeeping records and filed on time under Making Tax Digital. The quarterly deadline does not arrive as a surprise, and your VAT threshold is monitored throughout the year. Registration and scheme advice included where relevant.

Included where applicable
03

Year-End Accounts and Tax Return

When your financial year closes, the accounts and corporation tax return or self assessment are prepared from clean, maintained records rather than a year’s worth of unsorted paperwork. The result is a faster, cheaper year-end and a tax figure you can plan around.

Why Supreme Consulting

What sets us apart from the average practice

There are plenty of accountants who will file your returns. Fewer who will keep your books current, explain what the numbers mean, and answer the phone when you have a question.

📅

Over 20 years of practical experience

Supreme Consulting has been working with small businesses and contractors since 2005. That means we have seen most situations before and can handle them without making them more complicated than they need to be. Experience like that is reflected in the advice, not just the filing.

☁️

Xero and QuickBooks, properly set up

We are certified in both Xero and QuickBooks Online and handle cloud setup and migration as part of onboarding. Your books are accessible in real time, integrations are configured from the start, and the platform actually works the way it should. No half-finished setups left to sort out later.

💷

Fixed fees, agreed before you start

Every engagement is priced on a fixed-fee or monthly retainer basis, with the full scope confirmed upfront. There are no hourly rates that drift upward, no surprise invoices at year-end. You know what you are paying, and it does not change without a conversation first.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

Most clients are fully onboarded within a couple of weeks. The transition is handled on our side, so the effort on your side is minimal.

1

A short discovery call

We start with a no-obligation conversation to understand your business, your current bookkeeping setup, and what you actually need. It takes around 20 minutes and costs nothing. You will leave knowing exactly what happens next.

2

A clear, fixed-fee proposal

You receive a written proposal covering the scope of work, the monthly fee, and what is included. No vague estimates or hourly-rate structures. If the proposal does not suit, you are under no obligation to proceed.

3

Onboarding handled for you

We manage the transition from your previous bookkeeper or software, migrate records to the cloud, and set up any integrations needed. You do not need to spend time explaining your accounts history from scratch.

4

Books current, month after month

Once onboarding is complete, your bookkeeping runs on a regular cycle with no input required from you beyond providing bank access and receipts. Your numbers are current, your VAT is handled, and your Sunday evenings are largely your own again.

Questions

What most people ask before getting started

Do you handle bookkeeping for businesses based in New Milton specifically?+

Yes. Supreme Consulting is based in Lymington, a short distance from New Milton, and serves businesses across Hampshire and the wider South Coast on a cloud-first basis. All bookkeeping is done remotely using Xero or QuickBooks Online, so there is no need to drop paperwork off or attend a local office. Local familiarity with the area is useful when clients have specific queries about suppliers, trade, or local property.

What does monthly bookkeeping cost, and what is included?+

Pricing is fixed-fee and based on the volume and complexity of your transactions, not on an hourly rate. A typical sole trader or small limited company will receive a written quote before anything starts, covering exactly what is included each month. VAT returns and payroll can be added to a monthly retainer at clearly agreed rates. There are no surprise invoices.

My books are a bit of a mess. Is that a problem?+

It is not unusual. A number of clients come to us with records that have not been maintained for several months, or that were set up incorrectly in the first place. We offer catch-up bookkeeping to bring everything current before moving to a regular monthly cycle. The cost of catch-up work is quoted separately and agreed upfront, so there are no unexpected bills attached to clearing the backlog.

Am I locked into a long-term contract?+

No. Supreme Consulting does not require long-term commitments. If the arrangement is not working for you after a few months, you can leave with your records in order and nothing further owed. We retain clients by doing the work well, not by making it administratively difficult to leave.

Which software do you use, and do I need to buy a subscription?+

We work with Xero and QuickBooks Online and can advise on which platform suits your business better. Software subscription costs are discussed as part of onboarding. In some cases, access can be arranged through our practice at a preferred rate. If you are already using one of these platforms, we can work within your existing setup.

Will I be able to see what my tax position is during the year, not just at year-end?+

Yes. Because your books are maintained monthly rather than prepared retrospectively at year-end, your profit position and estimated tax liability are visible throughout the year. For limited company directors in particular, this makes dividend planning and tax planning considerably more straightforward. You are not left guessing what the bill is going to be.
